Effie Kanyua

Effie Kanyua is a multi-award-winning communications leader, AI reputation strategist and founder of We Are Warriors PR, a UK reputation, crisis communications and AI visibility consultancy helping brands understand and shape how they are perceived, discovered and recommended by both human and AI audiences. She is also the founder of LILA Assistant, an ethical AI business platform created for the creative industries, and is a recognised voice on communications, reputation and artificial intelligence, with her work and insights featured in Forbes and The Times. Effie was previously Director of PR & Communications at Hearst UK, home to brands including ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Esquire, and Communications Director at Bauer Media, where she led communications across its broadcast and publishing businesses. She began her career as a BBC journalist before moving into communications and has since worked with leading global technology, media, FMCG, beauty, luxury and healthcare brands. Her industry recognition includes: Campaign's Inspiring Women Awards, PRovoke Media's Innovator 25 EMEA, Women in PR's 40 Over 40 and PRWeek's recognition of the UK's most influential Black PR professionals. Effie sits on the Advisory Board of Global Women in PR, mentors for Women in PR and is Chair of the G100 Media, Arts & Communication Wing. She has judged awards for organisations including the CIPR, PRWeek, PRCA, The Drum and PRMoment, and regularly speaks at industry events on AI visibility, reputation, communications innovation and the future of PR.
