As a mentor, I am driven by one core belief: the success of future leaders is shaped by the guidance they receive today. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to empowering women and individuals from underrepresented groups in the communications industry, offering not only knowledge but also the confidence and skills needed to overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and exceed their own expectations. My mentorship approach goes beyond guidance; I’ve launched the groundbreaking PRCA PRISM mentoring programme to support Black, Asian, and ethnically diverse professionals, aiming to inspire the next generation of talent to progress and lead. While serving on the Board of the UK chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), I relaunched an award-winning mentoring programme to help both students and professional communicators excel in their career. Mentoring, to me, is about creating a legacy of support, nurturing diverse perspectives, and laying the foundation for a more inclusive future in communications. With a platform that places me in a position of visible leadership, I am keenly aware of the responsibility and influence this entails. I choose to use this visibility to advocate for diversity and inclusivity in our field, setting an example and fostering opportunities for others. By actively promoting inclusive mentorship and development initiatives, I work to ensure that the next generation of communicators reflects the diversity of our society and brings varied perspectives to the forefront
