Charlie Carrington

Mastercard (UK&I)

Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Communications UKI

Charlie Carrington is a standout force in driving gender equality, using her senior leadership position at Mastercard to redefine how a global brand shows up for women and girls. With more than three decades of marketing experience, Charlie has transformed sponsorship from brand visibility to meaningful action, placing women’s sport and female economic empowerment at the centre of Mastercard’s strategy. Her allyship is grounded in conviction, courage and a refusal to settle for “good enough”.

Across Mastercard’s sponsorship portfolio, Charlie elevates women through from campaigns encouraging girls to take up rugby, to spotlighting rising talent in motorsport and supporting creative education for young women through The BRIT School and Nordoff Robbins through Mastercard’s BRIT Awards partnership. Inside the organisation, she has championed enhanced maternity rights, leads wellbeing initiatives and mentors women at all stages of their careers, while lending her expertise to external programmes and charity boards. Her leadership of SOOO London, the groundbreaking women’s sport retail and community space, shows this conviction. Created to address decades of under-investment in women’s sport, SOOO welcomed 70,000 visitors and supported more than 40 women-led businesses. The success of SOOO reflects Charlie’s belief that women deserve purpose-built spaces, access to performance gear and platforms designed with them in mind. Charlie is a leader who lifts others and uses her influence with purpose. Her work is changing how women’s sport and leadership are valued across the industry, widening access to opportunities and setting a new standard for what fearless allyship looks like in practice.
