For our female-led, ethnically diverse Executive Board and our CEO Karen Stacey, the concept of an inclusive workplace doesn’t just mean having a diversity of people present, it means having a diversity of people deeply involved, developed, empowered and trusted by the company.

DCM’s leadership team has set about breaking down barriers to implement changes that have brought this mantra firmly into reality. Karen and the team recognise and believe strongly that diversity and inclusion are far more than a box ticking exercise. It’s about respecting the needs and potential of every member of staff and earning trust and commitment from their employees. In essence the goal has been to foster a sense of belonging within the workplace that encompasses everyone regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation and culture to ensure that every individual feels safe to contribute to the workplace as their authentic self. And with DCM being voted one of Campaign’s Best Places to Work for five consecutive years and a successful membership to the Advertising Association’s ‘All In Champion’ initiative for creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong in, it would seem that this approach is paying dividends.
