Ever enthusiastic to step out of her comfort zone whenever she finds herself with a slowing learning curve, her move to London was one such leap of faith. In the last four years, Elif not only adapted to the life of a global strategist moving from Istanbul to London but became an instrumental part of the team.

She was leading the strategy, data & insights division in WM Turkey as Managing Partner, and driving the talent initiatives having built her team from the group up. Then joining the global team, it did not take her long to lead the strategic responses for clients like L’Oréal and Mondelez, be the point-strategist in the digital transformation of Perrigo, support local markets with their planning capabilities, and lead the global responses of new business pitches. She also supports the products team with new tools formation such as strategic simulation tool to be adapted globally. On top of her role as a strategist, she’s taken the leadership of a diversity group focusing on gender equality, Women@Wavemaker to pursue her passion in fighting against perceived injustices. In her first year, she already recruited 35 members with whom she organized events to ensure women are given equal opportunities. Their last event was a panel that focused on menopause experiences in the workplace. The team joined forces with agencies across WPP and hosted a ground-breaking panel attended by 580 people - and as a result, a Menopause policy for Wavemaker was created and put into motion.
