Ellie Woolmore

Avanti West Coast

Ellie is Head of Brand at Avanti West Coast, sitting on the Marketing Leadership Team where she is responsible for overseeing a team of five to manage and develop the brand proposition and visual identity to create an industry-leading brand. She has established herself as a passionate and talented brand specialist with a track record of delivering end-to-end brand propositions and creative strategy in Rail and Retail.

Since launch in December 2019, Ellie has played a fundamental role in building the Avanti West Coast brand from scratch - from leading the interior design of the UK’s largest refurbishment of a train fleet, to developing a brand framework to inspire 3500 colleagues. More recently, Ellie played a pivotal role in the highly successful launch of the new industry-leading loyalty scheme, Club Avanti, in June 2022. Prior to Rail, Ellie worked for Tesco where she joined the highly competitive Marketing Graduate Scheme and was awarded a CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing with Distinction. With experience across social, content, planning and campaign, she quickly progressed to Brand Manager where she managed the end-to-end rebrand of multimillion own label toy brand, Carousel. Ellie is passionate about supporting gender equality and championing women in male-dominated industries. She was nominated as one of three women to be part of the Step Forward programme 2021/22 for emerging female leaders in rail and is Chair of the Gender Network where she advocates driving tangible change for women at Avanti and in the wider industry.
