Kenny Dada

VCCP

At 22, Kenny was made the youngest ever Board Member in the Watford Palace Theatre’s 110+ year history, and she became Vice Chair of this Board in 2022. In this role, she works closely with the theatre’s senior management teams in implementing strategies that ensure that the theatre’s creative output and community outreach are as inclusive as possible for young people in the area. She also spent 2 years as Chater Junior School’s youngest Vice Chair of Governors and she is a member of the Alumni Advisory Board at her alma mater, Pembroke College Oxford. As a member of Pembroke’s Alumni Advisory Board, she supports outreach initiatives to prospective students from backgrounds that do not have a history of applying to the university, a situation that she relates to well, having been the first student in her school's history to get a place at Oxbridge.

Kenny was member of VCCP’s winning pitch team for the Virgin-MediaO2 earlier this year. She also pioneered a virtual work-experience-programme called the Student Challenge at VCCP Stoke Academy for sixth-formers. To raise awareness of advertising as a career option in the Stoke and wider Staffordshire area, as well as creating job and training opportunities so far, 100+ young people have participated. Kenny believes in the power of the next generation and is keen to see them build their confidence, making them aware of all the possibilities available and making these possibilities accessible to them regardless of race, gender, socio-economic background or any other protected characteristics.
