Kerry Parkin
The Remarkables
Founder
Kerry Parkin is redefining how workplaces support people through the most human of experiences – loss. As a communications leader and trustee of Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS), Kerry has made it her mission to drive lasting change in how employers, policymakers and society respond to grief, with a focus on suicide bereavement and compassionate workplace culture.
Since early 2024 she has spearheaded the Coalition for Better Bereavement Leave, a national movement uniting charities, employers and policymakers to make paid bereavement leave a day-one employment right. Her work bridges advocacy, research and storytelling to influence government legislation and industry standards, while building a coalition of leading brands committed to more humane workplace policy.
Through this initiative, Kerry has combined strategic influence with empathy-driven leadership, bringing wellbeing to the forefront of corporate and public agendas. Her impact is measurable – from strengthened parliamentary engagement to tangible employer policy reform – but equally profound in the culture shift she inspires: a world where compassion, inclusion and mental health are embedded in everyday working life.
Kerry’s work exemplifies how purposeful leadership can change systems, not just conversations, ensuring that no one facing loss feels invisible – at work or beyond.
