Louise Crosby

News UK

Louise has driven significant innovation and transformation within News UK. Founding the Strategic Development team, which has developed the foundations of future revenue through advertising, Louise has pioneered the development of new technology to provide a higher quality reader experience, greater opportunity for brand clients, and improved internal processes. Her exceptional leadership skills have been fundamental in bringing to market News UK’s unique first-party data platform Nucleus, which has increased its ad revenues by 220%, compared to previous third-party providers.

Louise was responsible for shifting the business to data-led selling through the launch of Nucleus, which has been a game changer for News UK and totally revolutionised its offering to enable advertisers to better reach its 36.5m digital users. Louise has proactively sought to foster a more collaborative culture internally, which gives colleagues across the organisation a voice, and encourages greater working relationships between different departments. She created and launched the Process Improvement Project with the purpose of driving process change within News UK’s commercial workflows and operations. This has led to immensely positive changes including increased accountability and ownership, improved reliability and communications, increased revenue, and better data, which drives innovation. Louise also dedicates time to mentoring others within the business. She works specifically with colleagues returning from maternity/paternity leave to ensure they have the right support internally to help them integrate back into their role and the team, and she champions flexible working.
