Selina Donald

The Bulb

CEO and Founder

Selina Donald is an award-winning sustainability pioneer. Her epiphany moment came while working on the London 2012 Opening and Closing Ceremonies - bookends to the most sustainable Olympic Games-to-date. She realised events can deliver social and environmental good, but most aren’t planned with that consideration.

Selina set-up The Bulb in 2015 to deliver that vision and has been trailblazing ever since. Selina has provided sustainability consultancy to some of the world’s most high-profile campaigns and events, including: the FIFA 2018 World Cup Bid, COP28, the Rio Olympics 2016 and #March4Women. She also crafted and oversaw the sustainability strategy for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies. In addition to large-scale events, Selina develops and implements practical and measurable sustainability strategies for some of the world’s biggest agencies such as Momentum Worldwide, Jack Morton and Amplify. She has also worked with brands such as Microsoft, Walmart, Verizon, Google and Sky to deliver engaging sustainable impact across the globe. Selina sits as an advisory board member for both isla and NOWIE, and is a mentor for Fast Forward15. She is passionate about The Bulb (and industry) promoting equity and inclusion, leading The Bulb to being an accredited Disability Confident Employer and a certified WEConnect International Women’s Business Enterprise. Under Selina’s leadership, The Bulb has tripled in both size and revenue in the last two years, mirroring the growing requirement in the industry for more responsible ways of working.
