Catherine Falla
Medialab Group
Director of People and Culture
Over the past year of rapid growth at Medialab, Catherine Falla has ensured that inclusion becomes more deeply embedded in how the agency hires, supports and develops its people. As People & Culture Director, her focus has been on widening access, strengthening representation and building a culture grounded in trust and psychological safety.Catherine’s vision is for Medialab to reflect the diversity of society, delivered through three core levers: employee-led communities, Together We Stand (TWS) events and partnerships that remove barriers to entry. Partnerships such as WYK Digital provide supported routes into media for young people from underrepresented backgrounds, while Medialab’s communities - Roots, Great Minds, Women at Medialab, Balance and Sustainability - shape the organisation from within. Catherine ensures each has structure, sponsorship and resource so lived experience can guide meaningful change. A standout development this year was the creation of the Great Minds community. Sparked by a Q&A Catherine hosted with the CEO - Diary of a Dyslexic CEO - the session encouraged colleagues to share personal experiences and led to a now-established forum for discussion on neurodiversity. Alongside this, TWS events have become a defining part of Medialab’s culture, bringing colleagues at all levels into open dialogue on topics from heritage to gender equality. Under Catherine’s leadership, Medialab has seen stronger representation, improved parental support, increased psychological safety and external recognition as a Campaign and Sunday Times Best Place to Work. Her influence is felt across the organisation and continues to shape Medialab’s culture today.
