Wonderhood Studios

Co-Founders & Managing Partners, Wonderhood Makers

When Katie Hunter and Jo Lumb were asked to launch a new social-first content arm by Wonderhood Studios in 2023, they had never worked together before. And, in under three years, the duo have built a seven-figure business, creating something very special in the process.

Their vision for Wonderhood Makers was clear from the start: make work that is high in craft and big on impact by building hybrid teams who understand social strategy and content production from the inside. They rejected hierarchy, encouraged collaboration at every level and created an environment where ideas can, and do, come from anywhere. The results speak for themselves. Wonderhood Makers has grown from two to nine people (80% women) and become one of the fastest-growing parts of Wonderhood Studios with its contribution to agency revenue increasing by a third year on year. Their work for Waitrose has set a new standard for how supermarkets show up in culture, from the Cannes Gold-winning “Sweet Suspicion” Christmas campaign to the Big Green Bunny Easter activation (the first TikTok campaign scored by System 1, with 5 star results), and pairing up Sigala and Jax Jones with Chesney Hawkes and S Club. Alongside their commercial and creative leadership, they are shaping the next wave of female talent. They have built a team where women are championed and trusted, and where people get to show up as themselves knowing that they’ll have the support and unlimited access to the senior leadership.
