Janita Lakhanpal is a values-driven leader whose influence has reshaped both Ketchum UK and the wider communications industry. As a Board Member and Chair of Ketchum’s Inclusion Council, she has made inclusion inseparable from business success, embedding equity, belonging, and wellbeing into the fabric of organisational performance.

Working in close partnership with the CEO, Janita leads the remit for inclusion, culture, and marketing, aligning purpose with performance to strengthen Ketchum’s employer value proposition and ensure its brand promise is lived internally as well as projected externally. Her leadership has positioned Ketchum as one of the UK’s most inclusive and high-performing consultancies, driving record growth while earning recognition, including the PRCA’s Workplace Champion award in 2025 and Communiqué’s Action on Workforce Diversity and Inclusion Awards in 2022 and 2025. Janita’s hallmark is turning values into action. She has led structural change to improve representation, launched the Nourish & Knowledge series to bring thought leaders into conversation with employees, and created safe spaces and neuroinclusive environments that enable everyone to thrive. As a voice for parents of neurodivergent children, she uses storytelling and thought leadership to drive wider understanding of neuroinclusion, sharing her lived experience through People Like Us and her LinkedIn profile. Beyond Ketchum, Janita serves on the PRCA Equity and Inclusion Advisory Board, the Asian Communications Network, and the Women in PR Campaigns and Media Team.
