Shazia has been a business growth and transformation leader across multiple marketplaces for 20+ years. From P&G, ghd, Catalyx, Neuro-Insight, and now VP of Consultancy at Lumen Research she harnesses a rare blend of sharp commercial acumen, deep empathy, and neuroscience-backed insight to understand human behaviour to drive best in class product innovation.

Armed with a degree in Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Science, Shazia started with an internship at P&G with her own white lab coat! She moved into research as ghd’s Global Head of Insight, before transferring agency-side to Neuro-Insight as CEO before applying science and research to the world of media. This journey has equipped her with a unique scientific and people-centred approach to leadership that truly unifies the heart and the mind to mentor, guide and lead. Shazia’s sphere of influence is unrivalled in championing inclusion, wellbeing and equity. In a world where progress is being deliberately stalled within DEI it is vital that women like Shazia are present, vocal and ready to walk the walk challenging those who are unapologetically aligned to this discriminatory inequitable narrative. As a South Asian Muslim woman living with a chronic pain condition Shazia is no stranger to challenges, but her advocacy ensures that policies are being changed, tough conversations are being aired and those who feel unheard are being listened to. She’s been photographed by Rankin, advocated on the BBC and even changed UK laws for women - this has been a remarkable 20 years of service to leadership.
